Article: What are 5 best red wines and 5 best white wines I can buy in Canadian LCBO?

There are some of their wines that I truly enjoy but there are others that I wouldn't go near if I was paid a million bucks to drink. I've included the names of each wine with their respective CSPC code which the LCBO assigns to each item that lines it's shelves. If you print this out and take it to your local store, than they will be able to find it faster with these codes. I realize you didn't specifically ask for Canadian wines - just one's available at the LCBO. However, I know that all of these are outstanding as all of them are medal winners. Best of luck.

White Wines:

1. Peller Estates Ice Cuvee (used to be called Cristalle)
18986; $29.95
One of the best sparkling wines produced in Ontario.

2. Colio CEV Gewurztraminer 2002
432104; $14.95

3. Willow Springs Barrel Fermented Chardonnay 2002
692624; $12.95
If you are able to get your hands on Willow Springs' Riesling, try it instead of this Chardonnay because it's amazing. However, I think you have to buy the Riesling at the winery itself.

4. Birchwood Estates Gewurztraminer/Riesling VQA
572156; $10.95
Very reasonably priced wine coming from the smallest of the wineries owned by Dan Aykroyd.

5. Chateau des Charmes St. Davids Bench Sauvignon Blanc VQA
391300; $15.95
Make sure that you are picking up the St. Davids Bench version of this wine. They have both the general line and the Estate line also available but the St. Davids Bench version is well worth the extra couple of dollars.
